FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD

As faíscas podem inflamar os vapores provenientes de solventes e do produto bombeado, partículas de poeira e outras substâncias inflamáveis, ao bombear no interior ou no exterior e podem causar incêndios ou explosões, assim como ferimentos e danos materiais graves.

• If static electricity sparks or you feel the slightest shock, stop using the pump immediately. Check that the entire system is properly grounded. Do not use the system again until the problem has been identified and resolved.
• Inject and exhaust exhaust air safely away from all sources of ignition. If the diaphragm fails, the liquid is exhausted along with the air.
• Do not smoke in the work area. Do not operate the equipment near an ignition source or glowing objects, such as pilot lights.
HAZARD TO HALOGENATED HYDROCARBONS
Never use 1,1,1-trichloroethane, methylene chloride, other halogenated hydrocarbon solvents or liquids containing such solvents in aluminum pumps. Such use could result in a dangerous chemical reaction with the possibility of an explosion, which could lead to death, serious injury and/or significant damage to property.
Check with your liquid suppliers to make sure the products you are using are compatible with aluminum parts.
HAZARDOUS LIQUIDS
Improper handling of hazardous materials or inhalation of toxic fumes can cause extremely serious injury or even death due to splashing in the eyes, ingestion or body contamination. Observe all of the following precautions when handling proven or potentially dangerous products.
• Know the product to be pumped and its specific hazards. Take precautions to avoid spilling toxic liquids.
• Always wear protective clothing and equipment such as eye protection and breathing apparatus to protect yourself.
• Store dangerous goods in a suitable, approved container. Dispose of them in accordance with local, regional, and national guidelines for hazardous liquids.
• Tighten the product outlet tube correctly on the receiving container to prevent it from loosening and incorrectly draining the product.
• Inject and exhaust exhaust air safely away from people, animals and food handling areas. If the diaphragm fails, the liquid is exhausted along with the air.
