One pneumatic cylinder is a device that uses compressed air to provide a linear thrust. They are used in machinery and equipment in many different industries, including the automotive, aerospace, marine and construction industries.
Most pneumatic cylinders consist of a metal tube with a constant cross-sectional area. Inside the tube there is a piston and shaft – piston. Using the force of compressed air on the piston gaskets, the piston moves back and forth. The shaft scraper ring has the function of cleaning the shaft and also sealing the compressed air inside the tube to maintain its pressure.
The movement of the piston is transformed into mechanical energy that can be used to perform various tasks.
