The challenge faced by pneumatic diaphragm pumps in the ceramic industry is the presence of highly abrasive, high viscosity slip and enamel that need to be transferred in large volumes.
It's a lot like using 1”, 1½”, 2” or 3” aluminum pumps. The wetted part can be metallic or plastic, with Santoprene balls, stainless steel seats and Geolast or Santoprene diaphragms.
